Great enthusiasm and improved confidence at The Rental Show.

The energy level was high during this year’s Rental Show, as evidenced by the traffic on the floor from the start of the show through to the closing bell on Wednesday afternoon.  “The Show For People Serious About Profit” theme was on the money this year, as people moved about the show floor intent on finding those vendors that would help them in their quest for profitability.

Attendees were generally excited over the improvements in the rental economy and many attended the show specifically to find software to help propel their business forward.

“I spoke with several people who admitted their growth was hindered because they didn’t have a system in place to get the job done.” Said Lauren Dorman, VP of Product Development. “Many companies are finding themselves in a position where they know it’s time to change business systems but they are looking carefully at how they spend that investment. It’s been great to be able to offer them a fully inclusive business management solution and not just “rental” software.”

Technology really will improve your business. Rental owners and managers alike were on the hunt for technology to streamline operations and gain a better handle on what is working and what is not. Mobile solutions, Credit card processing, and real time reporting were hot topics at RMI’s booth. Another real bonus was RMI’s integrated Customer Portal, allowing customers to pay bills on-line, check the status of their equipment or call a unit off rent.

Several of RMI’s customers were also exhibiting at The Rental Show.

“It’s rewarding to talk to customers at an event such as this and see them entering orders into ADVANTAGE right from the trade show floor,” said David G. Richards, VP Client Services at RMI Corporation. “Since ADVANTAGE is cloud based, you really can access it anytime, anywhere. The feedback we’re getting from customers and prospects is just great.”

RMI’s Scan to Win Game was a huge success!  This game is built within the RMI ADVANTAGE Mobile User that clients use to process real time business transactions away from the desk, such as scanning equipment on and off rent, looking up inventory and about 30 other businesses processes.   We had well over 60 winners who received a hands on demonstration of how easy it is to “go mobile” while winning RMI Stainless Steel travel mugs and Starbucks gift cards.
